Irresponsible Employee

The new colleague that suppose to help me and assist me when I go for my maternity leave resigned last Saturday and you know what..sent an sms to my another colleague saying that she been hospitalized on Monday (6 April) and will be on medical leave for the whole week until Friday (10 April). Well we buy her excuse as we really thought she was really not well that but yesterday I received an email from her with her resignation letter which was sent to me on Saturday (11 April).

My colleague told me that she sent her a sms on Thursday,no reply from her..and she even called her yesterday morning when we did not see her early in the morning because I check my mail..no one answer the call..how irresponsible people can be..if you wanted to resign, please do it in a proper manner..give us a call, send us a sms or at least give us a notification before hand.

She send me the email on Saturday and stated that her last day would be on Friday..if according to the contract, she owed the company 24 hours and not to mention, she did not give me any medical leave certification to prove that she been hospitalized..in which she been absent from work for that whole week..sigh…and now I have to find a new person to take over her things fast!!

I so need to have a vacation right now..maybe some Vegas vacations to release my tension!

some ppl are just so irresponsible. but it is better for her to leave before u deliver, rather than to leave when u are on your maternity. it’ll be much more of a problem then. get a new person in then.. btw, what is the post u mentioned?

ya, found a new replacement!
its a project coordinator cum admin, but doing simple work like typing, paying bills, filling and very basic stuff..
