Down With Flu Again

Panda bear is in town again. No under eye cream for dark circles will be able to help this time. Little-D is down with flu again and like previous time, he will wake up several times in a night because he can not breath. Like the last time, he wake up 7 times in just one night. He will wake up and cry and me, poor me, have to wake up and rub Vick behind his back and also behind his ear so that he can breath more easily. Thank god that people created Vick or else I think I will not be able to sleep the whole night or maybe for few nights.. but please take note that Vick Can not be use on babies nose as it will cause complication later on when the baby is older..so can only used on the back and behind ear. Put a little on your palm, rub it hard and then place your palm on the back of Little-D and it will help to ease the difficulty of breathing.

hi, my baby is almost the same age with your baby. If I am not mistaken, we r not allow to use normal vicks on them. U can read the disclaimer on the product. If u want, u need to order baby vicks. If i am not mistaken, s’pore online seller does sell this.

if the stuffiness is bad, try using nasal spray. the reason vicks is not recommended for small children, below 3 or 5 years old, is because altho vicks can make the mucus thin, but then the mucus will go down to the throat when sleep (because the nose and mouth is connected) and might choke your baby when at sleep.

nasal spray is also not good for long term too. please dun use unless necessary. also, u might wan to invest in some humidifier because aircon is too dry.

My daughter is only approaching 10 mths. …cannot walk yet. Can pull herself up and take a few steps. How about Little-D? Hopefully he gets well soon. My baby is also sick…..stomach flu…non-stop diarrhoea. Its painful to see them sick …tiring too.

I am not sure about buying from s’pore cause I got it from US (ppl send back to me). Apparently, its very very good. Rub on his chest, his back, his feet and wear socks. He will recovered soon. Gave the same advice to a friend and her baby recovered within 2-3 days. Take care

Little-D also can not walk yet by himself but can walk if he have something to hold on to. Can pull himself up as well, but normally will need my help..i think he is the lazy type, will only try to pull himself up if I ask him to, or else he will laid flat on his back and started to cry lol!

Gee thanks for the information, Will ask my sister to get for me :)
Yeah, i also rub on his chest, back , feet and wear sock but using the adult vick..no choice..

Oh mine, hope your little girl get well soon..its really bad to know and to see babies fall sick…sigh

i dint use vicks on his nose and mouth area…its a BIG no no for me..i read an articles that vicks will cause complication to breathing system later on, so i never put vicks on my baby’s nose. No way even my mom and MIL pestered me to..

nasal spray? Never heard about that before..my doctor never recommend that too..only saline drip..
I think i will try with the humidifier 1st since i have one at home..thanks for recommendation :)

    he wont let me! LOL!
cause he is those very “Lan Fan” type..keep on moving here and there..normally the pillow is just for the sake as “putting” there..

yes, nasal spray/drip is clear the nose from thick mucus and dry it up. u can get it from pharmacies if u don’t have one.

humidifier is used to keep the air moist, and if anyone in the house is having dry cough, it helps. if u dun have, this is what my doc tells me, hang a damp cloth in the room near the aircond or just put a small container filled with water. u can drip some eucalyptus oil in the water and the room will be full of the oil. it somehow lessen the cough and stuffy nose.
